About our history; Joop Meijn, the shareholder and owner of Alfa Food & Poultry Projects BV and his affiliated companies, has more than 50 years’ experience in the Poultry & Food processing equipment business.

He started at the age of 16 years working in the well-known MEYN family company, still one of the largest companies in the world producing Poultry Processing Equipment. Where he started to create the export business for their products in 1970 and was during that time the sales director and later managing director from 1975 until he resigned from the MEYN Company.

Afterward, Joop Meijn started his new ventures with his broad experience and knowledge, together with a good team which also has many years of experience and know-how in the food industry to build up the today’s specialized companies.
