Capacity Range
Multi-department brownfield line
Timeline
Annual shutdown window with four months of prior planning
Project Scope
  • Shutdown scope definition
  • Site access and sequencing plan
  • Cross-supplier interface matrix
  • Restart and ramp-up coordination
Outcomes
  • Better accountability across suppliers and contractors
  • More controlled site execution during the outage window
  • Faster return to stable production after restart

Shutdown execution is a strong test of project control because the plant has very little room for confusion once the outage window begins.

Project brief

The plant needed to fit multiple upgrade activities into a short outage window without losing control of scope, responsibilities, or restart priorities. Alfa’s role was to create structure before site work began.

Alfa scope

That included defining the shutdown package, sequencing access, aligning supplier responsibilities, and setting up restart readiness so the client had a credible path from outage to stable production.
